 Cyclamen - My favorite winter bloom. So fresh and delicate looking and mostly hardy against frost for specific varieties. No need to plant close to awning as or cover as they can withstand the occasional frost we get here in nor cal just fine. And it comes in such cheerful colors. |  Pansy- By and large this is a great winter bloom that makes your garden or yard look like spring all winter long. |  Primula- Can be a great winter bloom in some areas not prone to extreme frost. Under an awning or next to a little light cover can help this be a good winter choice. |
